Terms & Conditions

Keep Fit & Knit Tours, last updated July 2026

Reserving a place on one of our retreats and paying for your retreat means you have read these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

1. Securing Your Place

A booking is only held once we have received payment in full for your chosen retreat.

The full cost applicable to your retreat, which depends on the room option you choose, is set out to you when you book.

Because your place is paid in full at the time of booking, we commit money to third parties in order to arrange your retreat. If you later need to cancel, please see If You Cancel below, which explains how any refund is worked out.

By paying for your retreat you are agreeing to attend and you confirm that no further amount is owed at the time of booking.

2. Payment

The full cost of your retreat is payable at the time of booking. There is no separate deposit and no later balance to settle: your place is confirmed only once payment has been received in full.

All payments are taken through our secure payment provider. Your place is not held until payment has cleared.

3. Prices

Unless we state otherwise, prices are quoted per guest and cover the items described in the relevant retreat listing.

4. Changes to the Retreat & Services

We take great care to deliver every retreat as described. However, some elements rely on third parties and on circumstances we cannot fully control, such as the weather, local conditions, availability of venues or suppliers, illness, or disruption to travel. For this reason, the services, activities, timetable, tutors, venues and other arrangements that make up your retreat may need to change from time to time, whether before or during the retreat.

Where a change is needed, we will always aim to provide a comparable alternative of a similar standard and to keep any disruption to a minimum. Minor changes of this kind do not entitle you to a refund.

5. If We Cancel

Should we ever have to call off a retreat, everything you have paid us will be returned to you in full. We cannot, however, cover any other expenses you may have taken on, such as flights or accommodation booked separately from the retreat.

6. If You Cancel

If you need to cancel, please tell us in writing as soon as you can. The date we receive your written cancellation is the date we use to work out any refund.

Because your place is paid in full at the time of booking, and because we commit money to third parties (such as accommodation, tutors, transfers and activity providers) in order to arrange your retreat, a cancellation does not always mean a full refund is possible. What we can return to you depends on the costs we have already taken on for your place by the time you cancel. When you cancel, we will refund the amount you have paid, less:

  • a non-refundable administration fee of £75 per booking, which covers our booking, payment-processing and re-advertising costs; and
  • any third-party costs we have already committed on your behalf and are unable to recover at the point you cancel.

The earlier you cancel, the fewer costs we are likely to have committed, so the more we are usually able to return. Closer to the retreat, more of these costs become non-recoverable, and in some cases little or none of your payment may be refundable.

Where we are able to resell your place, whether to someone on a waiting list or another guest, we will refund any amount that this recovers for us, less the administration fee above. This can often mean a larger refund than would otherwise be possible.

Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including any rights you may have under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

7. After the Retreat Starts

Once a retreat is under way, we are unable to offer any refund, in whole or in part, for sessions, nights, or activities you choose not to use. This is because we pay third parties in advance to arrange these services and are bound by their terms.

8. Getting There & Transfers

You have a choice of how to travel from the airport to Casa Mariscal:

  • Shared transfer: travel together with other guests. We will confirm a pick-up time with you closer to your retreat dates, and as we coordinate arrivals you may need to be at the meeting point at a set time and wait a short while for other participants before travelling together.
  • Private taxi: travel straight from the airport to Casa Mariscal at a time that suits you, for a higher fee. Let us know in advance if you would like us to arrange this.

9. Fitness & Mobility

Casa Mariscal sits in the hills of Polopos, a traditional Andalusian mountain village. Please be aware that the property and its surroundings include steep hills, slopes, uneven ground, and numerous steps, both inside the house and across the terraces, gardens and village streets.

For this reason, guests need to be in reasonably good health and able to walk, climb steps and manage inclines comfortably and unaided in order to move around the property and take part in the retreat. The setting is not suitable for those with significant mobility limitations or who are unable to manage stairs and steep terrain.

If you have any concerns about whether the location is right for you, please contact us before booking and we will happily talk you through what to expect so you can make an informed decision.

10. Your Own Responsibility

Taking part in any retreat activity is done at your own risk. Other than where the law requires it, we accept no liability for loss, damage, injury or illness arising during the retreat. Looking after your own possessions remains your responsibility throughout your stay.

11. Health & Suitability

It is up to each guest to satisfy themselves that they are fit to take part in the activities on offer (see also Fitness & Mobility above). Please tell us in advance about any dietary needs, allergies, medical conditions or accessibility requirements so that we can do everything reasonable to support you.

12. Travel Documents

Making sure you hold a valid passport, any visas required, and any necessary health documentation for international travel is the responsibility of each guest.

13. Events Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for failing to meet our obligations where this results from events we cannot reasonably control, including natural disasters, action by governments, pandemics, or disruption to travel.

14. Photography & Media

We may take photographs or video during the retreat to record the experience. By joining a retreat you agree that Keep Fit & Knit Tours may use these images to promote our retreats, including on our website and social media channels. If you would rather not feature in any photos or video, simply let us know beforehand and we will always honour your request.

15. Your Data

We use the personal details you provide solely to manage your booking and to send you information relevant to your retreat. Your data will not be passed to anyone else, other than where it is needed to run the retreat or where the law requires us to do so.

16. Agreeing to These Terms

Completing a booking and paying for your retreat confirms that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

17. Insurance & Medical Costs

You are responsible for your own travel insurance and for any medical expenses, medications, and emergency transport or evacuation costs that may arise during the retreat. We strongly recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, illness, injury and travel disruption before you travel.

18. Minimum Numbers

Our retreats run subject to a minimum number of participants. If we do not reach that minimum for your chosen dates, we will contact you to talk through the options, which may include moving to an alternative date or, if you prefer, a full refund of what you have paid.
